Despite the talent in Iowa, Hanna felt the struggle firsthand that local businesses and creatives feel with getting the visibility and support they need to thrive. Hanna envisioned a solution that would showcase the incredible people with talent in Iowa and build a stronger sense of community and collaboration. She knew that by creating a platform that highlighted local talent, she could help small businesses grow and expand their reach, fostering a vibrant local economy.
To bring her vision to life, Hanna founded three initiatives: Local., Local. Pub. Co., and Local. Foundation.

Local. Pub. Co.: This publishing company focuses on amplifying the voices of Iowa authors and connecting them to local talent. By offering a platform for self-publishing and collaboration, Local. Pub. Co. ensures that the stories and perspectives of Iowa residents are heard and celebrated.
Local. Foundation: Dedicated to empowering rural communities, Local. Foundation supports initiatives that help these communities rebuild themselves. By providing resources and opportunities, the foundation aims to preserve Iowa's unique heritage and foster sustainable rural growth.
